Increase the Effectiveness of your Tweets

Let me just start off by saying that in this post I am simply sharing the information I have found. I am in the process of creating a plan to increase my click through rate, as frankly it sucks right now :)

But I wanted to share with you the information I have found, so that you too may be able to increase your click through rate. Please note, this graphic links back to the original author's blog.

Main pointers here:
- Tweets should be between 120-130 Characters
- Links should be 25% into the the tweet. Or if you look closely at the end also does well
- Tweet once per hour for a good return
- Some words get a higher click through than others: Via, @, Retweet, Please, Check, ect
- Action verbs result in click action
- Weekend tweets get a good return
- Good Tweet times. 8-10am, 1-3pm, 8-10pm (from the graph)

I will post others later. However I am collecting an extensive pinterest board of this information. If you would like to follow along, you can follow at  http://pinterest.com/aprilwilliams

Jewelry Spotlight 1-14-2013

I am going to try something new. I am going to try to spotlight a piece from my store each Monday. I would like you all to see an up-close look at my work.

Today I will be featuring this spellbinding necklace. I was drawn to this stone the moment I laid eyes on it!

I created this beautiful pendant in my studio. The stone is a green druzy covered with titanium. I swear this thing sparkles like it is pure pixie dust! Each time I looked at the stone, I could imagine fairies sprinkling pixie dust.

So I decided to pay homage to that image by including the twisted wire wings to represent fairies and butterflies.

The stone is held in place with a handmade sterling silver setting. And the pendant is on an eighteen inch sterling silver snake chain. I love those chains, they feel like liquid silver against your skin.

Indulge yourself with this alluring one of a kind necklace! Buy Now!

Flourish & Thrive Academy Laying the Foundation Volume 1

I have been designing jewelry since 2005 and selling jewelry since 2007. Taking the leap from designing in my home to presenting my work for sell was very scary for me. It was like standing in front of a firing squad for me; very nerve racking.

In the past six years I have grown a lot more comfortable in my own skin. Although I still have moments where I am fearful, I am no longer afraid that my designs are not good enough. I know I have a market for my products. But my business is still in a hobby stage. It is self-sustaining, but it is not wildly profitable for me yet.

So why have I not gone further in my business? Why is it still basically a hobby for me?
I think it comes down to efficient planning. I spend a lot of time researching, learning , coming up with to do lists. So much so, that I do not have a lot of time left to follow through by the end of the day.  I would love to have a better background and understanding of techniques that could help me get ahead.

I have trouble moving into a path of action when I do not have a full understanding of a concept. I have always been that way. While that can be a great asset in life, it can also be a great hindrance.

I would love to see my business grow and become truly profitable. I dream of being able to take it to the next level, to see my designs in stores and boutiques. Thus far that is a dream.

I would really like to learn how to find and bring in new clients for my work in the hopes to bring my hobby into a full time business.

Thank you Flourish and Thrive for giving me the courage to create this post!
