New Booth Mock Up

Just some quick photos of my booth in progress. Comment/critiques welcome. Photos were taken this morning and have not been edited. Also I only place earring cards on the displays to make sure they were visible.

I have one week to get this workable before my next show.

Here is my old booth in case you need a comparison.

Help! Booth re-design in progress :)

For the second time this month, I have had a disappointing show. In both cases, there was not the traffic that I had anticipated. That being said, during the show I noticed a very visible phenomena, that traffic that was there tended to look past much of my booth. Nothing was really drawing them in.

Here is a photo of my booth from Saturday

Something that I personally noticed is that I need more signs. A sign here and a sign there just does not cut it.

Anyway I really felt like I need to update the booth and its total look.

So I have started with the color scheme. The current booth may be too dark. So I was thinking brighter with dark accents. But I am planning on adding more cream into this as well.
I bought some new table cloths in this turquoise color, and I am thinking about getting some fabric paint to add in the cream and brown elements.

I also bought some peg boards to add sides to my booth.  I went ahead and painted them in a turquoise as well. But I plan to add some designs to the board. I am just torn as to which....

Here are the boards.
Ok so here is where I need your help. I am planning on adding some designs onto the boards. Here are the two that caught my eye the most.

From Online Inspiration's blog.
Target's wall decal collection
Which design do you like better for a turquoise and chocolate wall board in a booth?

Update:  I made a slight mockup to look at colors (With Photoshop, so please do not be too harsh on the graphics here :] )

Also I found these that I was thinking about adding rather than paint to create the circles:

 Ok here is the mockup

Via Photoshop, I added the peg board with mirrors, added curtains, and change the cloth color to the turquoise.

Re-telling my Story

The Eluna Jewelry Story

From my earliest childhood memories, I have had a fascination with stones. I was always picking up rocks; gravel, river stones,  dirty bits of quartz from the field in front of my childhood home. I just loved stones. So when I went to the mountains for the first time, and my parents offered me a chance to mine for gems, you had better believe I jumped at the chance. From that point on, I was hooked, forever to be in love with stones.
I started creating jewelry when I was in high school. I started with the basics beaded jewelry.  I even wore one of my creations in my senior year photo!

But school and environmental sciences took front stage as I set out to get my bachelor’s degree.

Once I became an adult and graduated college, I revisited my hobby of jewelry making. Again I began by creating beaded jewelry designs.

Then I began to expand my jewelry making horizons. I taught myself to wire wrap stones.

Looking to create more unique jewelry, and not being satisfied with many of the wire wrapping stones I had found, I decided to learn to cut stones myself. Yes that is my, cutting stones in my studio.

Have you ever question why you enjoy a hobby? Well earlier this year, I asked myself, why I enjoyed jewelry making so much. I discovered, much to my surprise, that jewelry making has provided me with a retreat of simplicity from the ever spiraling chaos.

In my life, simplicity was sorely missing in the chaos of my everyday life.

This simplicity is echoed in the simplistic look of my designs. But like many of the simple things in life, jewelry making provides a one of a kind enjoyment.

I hope you find as much enjoyment in my designs as I have in the simple act of creating it.

Print Postage for Etsy Direct Checkout.

Etsy currently does not offer a way to print postage with direct checkout. So I wanted to offer you a work around.

You would log into your Paypal account.

Once in your account, locate the multi-order shipping on the right hand side of your window.

Once there two new screens should pop up.

Creating a new order will bring up yet another screen. (So many screens) This is where you will input your package, shipping, customer, and return address information (if needed).

Once you fill in all your information, you can choose to create another label or print. If you choose print, you will be taken to the screen behind this pop-up. From there you will choose a ship date on the top menu for all your packages, and will then pay&print.

Hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial on shipping via Paypal for items paid for through Etsy's direct checkout.
